Hermes produced this wonderful "La Treve de l'Eau" design by Robert Dallet in 2005 and re-issued it in 2006.  Copies flooded the eBay market through much of 2006, and these will be resurfacing for many years to come, masquerading as the genuine article.  The copies are absolutely photo-accurate down to the Hermes copyright mark and the artist's signature.  The only detectible difference is that the fakes have slightly harsher colouring, particularly the browns used.  The fakes tend to use a chocolate brown, while the genuine ones have more 'natural' colours as the examples below:

This cream one is a FAKE............................... .......................and this pink one is a FAKE.............................

This blue one is genuine..............................................................and this green one is genuine too........

You may get the overall impression here about the colours.  Here are some close ups showing the details below:

Look at the brown on this blue FAKE ...............compare to the more 'natural' GENUINE one on the right.

And here are the FAKE chocolate orange tigers......... compare to these GENUINE tigers from the pink

Genuine green........................................................ and genuine red..............................................................

I don't want to help the fakers here, but a genuine new Hermes scarf from the store is not folded like the fake in the first picture.

These photo-accurate scarves are very hard to tell fake from genuine.  I will repeat here that a Seller with twelve high resolution photographs of the scarf does not make it genuine.  You need to know what you are looking at, and how to tell genuine from fake.  Do look at what else the Seller is offering and at their Feedback.  If they have sold several of the same scarf, have private feedback or you are not sure about any detail, then don't bid... or you may end up paying designer prices for cheap fakes.

THE RULE: Dark and orange brown tigers are FAKES.
