All designer goods attract fakers, who manufacture an inferior product at a fraction of the cost, and make a very good profit out of you, the un-suspecting Buyer.  Knowledge is power.  You will save yourself from paying top prices for these cheap fakes by knowing what the genuine Hermes silk scarf should look like.

Do have a look through my  Index Link  to access all of the detailed guides.

Here is a quick selection of details from other Hermes scarf designs that have been faked....

Amours 1998 by Annie Faivre.... genuine title engraved on the bell.... fake lacks detail and pretty easy to spot!........... DETAIL

Bouteilles a la Mer by Pierre Peron, 1960 and re-issued 2005...the fake is lacking a lot of colour...look at the floats...  COLOUR

Christophe Columb decouvre l'Amerique 1992 by Carl de Parcevaux.  Not too hard to see what is missing here...DETAIL and COLOUR

Le Jeu des Petit Bonheurs 2004 by Sophie de Seynes....  the fake misses out the title in the centre..................... DETAIL

Tibet II by Cathy Latham, issued 2002.... the fake is quite accurate at first sight but look at the title.................DETAIL

I hope that you will have noticed that I have been trying to brainwash you into recognising that the COLOUR and DETAIL are the best ways to identify FAKE from GENUINE Hermes silk scarves.  There are a large number of designs that have been faked.  Assume that the scarf is fake until the Seller convinces you that their item is genuine. Look at the details and compare with known genuine scarves. Google key words "Hermes silk scarf" and that will take you to many good websites with photographs.  Look at the Seller to see if they have sold a number of the designs on the fake list, or if they have sold a thousand items and this is their first Hermes. Either Seller should be treated with great caution.

Have a look at some of my other Guides via this Index Link.  And  see Care Labels and  Labels on FAKES  if you are not sure why the care label is important.

Now is the time to press the YES button below!  Thanks.
