The Hermes silk scarf titled "Envol" was designed by Joachim Metz and issued in 1995.  There was a special issue for the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.  There are some fairly crude fakes of this design, which can be spotted easily, by the Hermes Paris along one or more sides.  The fake does not have a title and may appear on Ebay with some fanciful names. 

1)  Always be very suspicious of scarves with Hermes Paris separate from the design and bold around the border...

2)  NEVER buy a scarf with multiple Hermes Paris marked in the border as they are ALWAYS FAKES.

If you have already read any of my other guides you will know how much I stress that you must know what the genuine scarf should look like, otherwise you will end up paying designer prices for a cheap fake.  And don't think that you are alone in being taken in by photographs.....

The lady who acquired this red FAKE sent the pictures to Hermes Service Department in France, asking if it was genuine and what was its title.  (That in itself should have been a give-away... since the genuine one has a title on it!)   They obviously did not look at the photos thoroughly, just recognised the design...and responded that it was genuine as below!
