Care labels are an important indicator in deciding on whether you are looking at a genuine or FAKE item.  Have a look at my basic guide on Care Labels. 

Do look at all the other indicators as well.  It is worth remembering that many purchasers of genuine scarves often snip out the care label because they find them ugly.  Having no label tells you nothing. But a fake label in the wrong place means that the scarf is FAKE.  And just occasionally genuine labels have been found sewn onto fake scarves.

Here are some classic confidence-trick-style high resolution picture of fakes with their labels.

This pleasantly colour FAKE "Paddock" shows a label sewn on front of scarf, label with caleche logo and second label in Italian.

PLEASE NOTE that Hermes DO use the caleche logo elsewhere but NOT on their SILK TWILL SCARVES.

These are classic indicators of a FAKE scarf.  Here is another FAKE scarf listed with high resolution photographs.

Even if you didn't know that "Les Zebres II" was not produced in this black-white combination, you should be able to see that the positioning of the labels, the caleche logo and Italian , make this another cheap FAKE.     OK those two examples were easy.  Now here is a harder one to spot as the wording is correct.....

But this FAKE "Paddock" has a very thin label and uses the wrong type font.  Compare it to this genuine "Hola Flamenca" label, which is also 'S' stamped.

Do remember to look at all the indicators, compare details with photos of genuine scarves, check the colours and most important of all...check out the Seller.
