Hermes issued "Attrape tes Reves" by Leigh Cooke in 2008. I have just received some high resolution pictures of the fake version from the "replica" store in China. The genuine version was available in black, white, Hermes orange, pale blue and pink. The fake is reported to be much lighter silk. The fakes are good if you have nothing to compare with but......
See there is shading on the horse and man, and marbling on the frame on the genuine one... which is lacking in the fakes....
You can see the lack of shading very clearly in the centre of this fake.......
..and even in these poor quality pictures you can see the plain font style and lack of contrasting hem on the fake..
Genuine font is a Times Roman style..............Fake font is a plain Arial...........................
This genuine white one has a pale blue contrasting hem and the ribbons DO NOT get rolled into it as in the fake.
Key points for identification are:
1 - Genuine scarf has a contrasting hem in all colour options, the fake does not.
2 - Ribbons rolled into the hem means it is a fake.
3 - Lack of "marbling" and shadow in centre.
4 - Wrong lettering font on the title.
Watch out for the usual problems with Sellers. If they have sold multiple copies of the same design, or several from the known fake list, then assume the worst until they can prove to you that the item is genuine. Sellers of genuine items will be happy to give you detailed photographs on request.
Have a look at some of my other guides through this Index Link ... they may just save you from paying designer prices for a cheap fake.
