Hermes issued "A Walk in the Park" by Leigh Cooke in 2005. This was another relatively simple looking design that was quickly faked and will continue to appear on Ebay for many years as it recycles through estate clearances. The fakes appear to be photo accurate, but the colours are not quite right, but hard to notice unless you have another to compare. There are no easy rules for this one, other than to be very suspicious of brightly coloured leaves. Several versions have been seen in very shiny material and are very small when seen in the box.
Here is a sample of the $30US FAKES and colours available ....note how bright that blue leaf is in the FAKE...
These poor quality photos of this FAKE show that the fabric is shiny, crease-free and small in its (fake) box.....
Even in orange the genuine colours are quite subtle.. look at the crude blue leaves in the FAKE.
Only buy this scarf from someone who provides you photographs like these below, showing all the detail, subtle colours and correct texture of the silk. Incidentally, a good sign that you are looking at silk is the creases around the folds...polyester does not crease!!
Genuine................................................ Genuine................................................................
Do look at all the other factors, including the reputation of the Seller, whether or not they are Hermes Experts...OR... honest but naive Estate Clearance Specialists!
