Here are some more genuine vintage designs that Hermes have re-issued recently. They are also NEWLY RELEASED BY THE FAKERS and readily available as "Hermes Replicas" from China.  These will be appearing on Ebay as the genuine items right now, and recycling through the second hand market for years to come.

They appear to be photo accurate and have all the usual identifying marks in the right place.  BUT the colours are not those used on genuine Hermes. You really do have to assume that all designs have been faked and be really sure of the Seller before you buy Hermes on Ebay.

Please click on the YES  button at the end of this Guide if you find it useful as it will help other Ebay Buyer at risk to see it. Have a look at my first 2009 FAKES! Guide for more examples.  Follow this link to my Guide Index to view all guides available.

Bouclerie d'Attelage by Francoise de la Perriere originally issued in 1978.

These are all FAKE.................................................FAKE................................................FAKE.........................

Les Coupes by Francoise de la Perriere originally issued in 1971.

These are all FAKE.................................................FAKE................................................FAKE.........................

Dies et Hore by Francoise Faconnet originally issued in 1963 and many genuine re-issues.

These are all FAKE.................................................FAKE................................................FAKE.........................

See also this guide on Dies et Hore for more details.

Fakes are often small in their fake boxes and this is another key telltale sign.  1cm between the edge of the scarf and the box means you are looking at a 86cm x 86cm FAKE.  Have a look at the label too...not sure what to look at? Then see my Guides on Care Labels on Fake Scarves.

The single most important thing to remember is that ANY Seller is in business..... and the Seller of fakes is in the business of stealing as much of your money as they can get, without you even realising it.  So arm yourself with as much knowledge as you possibly can before venturing onto Ebay.  There are plenty of genuine bargains to be had out there but you need to know which ones they are, otherwise you could well end up paying designer prices for a cheap fake.

Time to click on the YES button now...Thanks!
