The Sprint Centro is the same as every other Palm Treo since 2003. So
it runs the same software as before. Here is a list of useful
Applications for the Sprint Centro. I will update this as needed.
(You can load these applications on your phone by downloading the PRC files and using PalmOne Quick Install. There is free trials, cheaper prices, and such that can be found by searching the Internet.)
4. Sprint Media Player. This comes as a default player in your phone. While it runs using Kinoma, you can not update it. But the application is very cool. Lots of live TV channels, streaming music, video on demand clips like Lost and House. Prices vary but the Sprint TV Premier is what I love using and it cost $7.95 a month and you get lots of content. If you do get a radio package I suggest getting the Sprint Radio Extra package. It is $5.95 a month and gives you more channels, with a lower cost, then Sirius and Sony.
Sprint is also pretty cool with data usage. Other carriers set unknown limits, while Sprint doesn't. So as long as you have the correct data plan, you should be okay with enjoying their content.
6.MegaClock: Nice clock application. Lots of features.
8.Adobe Reader: A free EBook reader. Will open PDF files.
10. iSkoot. A free VoIP application that runs through Skype. Still uses your plan minutes, but it will allow you to make long distance calls to other countries . You need a Skype account first. They offer different types of plans. This feature is cool because even though it uses minutes, you can set up an Unlimited Skype account and just call all of your friends from all over the world using your Skype service.

1. ZLauncher: ZLancher is a Virtual OS, which means it loads over the
normal Palm OS. PalmOS is very plain and limited on it's own. ZL will
allow you to set background BMP images for the main display. You can
only set photos on the dial pad with PalmOS. You can also move software
to the Memory Card. So instead of getting less then 60MB's of storage
space, you can use a card and get up to 4GB's. Trust me, you will need
a card if you plan on using lots of software. It has all kinds of
features. I really like the antenna icon. It will show you the signal
strength in numbers, instead of just bars alone.
2. ZL Background Converter: Used to convert images into wallpaper for use with ZLauncher .The Palm Centro uses 320x320. So that is the size you would need make a background that will fit Centro display correctly.
3. Pocket Tunes: Ptunes is a music program that lists you listen to
music files and streaming radio. It allows you to surf the web while
playing music.
5. Kinoma: Different then the built-in media player, this full
application has a list of content like Webcams, TV, radio, ect. You can
also play movies that you convert and transfer to the memory card. And
it can play many YouTube and Google video clips. No all will play
though. This application does have it's faults though. Many channels
will either not load, or take a while to load due to an "Insufficient
Bandwidth' error which is an error on the player and service itself, not the carrier network.
6.MegaClock: Nice clock application. Lots of features.
7.Clean Uninstall. A free application that will allow you to delete
software. Some software you download will lock you from deleting it.
This will bypass that.
8.Adobe Reader: A free EBook reader. Will open PDF files.
9. Opera Mini: A free HTML web browser that is much faster then the
built in Palm Blazer. Try and get a version under 4.0. The newser
browser cuts web pages into chunks and forces you to contently move the
mouse icon to read through a site. A very, very stupid feature.
11. Hardware wise, get a "Stereo Adapter Kit" and an "FM Transmitter."
The Stereo kit will allow you to connect your phone to your home
stereo, or any device with audio cables. The FM transmitter will allow
you to connect your phone to your car stereo by way of an FM
transmission. These can be used with other Sprint phones as well
