 I  just love helpful tips to save time so I thought I would pass on some wonderful tips for household, car, beauty, etc.. I am not an expert on any information I am giving  it's for informative purposes only. There are a-lot of great tips here that will come in handy.

 CLEAN-UPS: FOR ALL AROUND THE KITCHEN

Blender: fill part way with  hot water add one drop of detergent. cover and turn it on for a few seconds. Rinse and drain dry.

Can Opener: Loosen grime by brushing with an old toothbrush. To thoroughly clean blades,run a paper towel through the cutting process..

Appliances: Instead of using commercial waxes, shine with rubbing alcohol.

For quick clean-ups rub with equal parts of water and household ammonia.

Drains: When a drain is clogged with grease pour a cup of salt and a cup of baking soda into a drain followed by a kettle of boiling water. the grease will dissolve immediately..(Works great saves a lot of money)

Sponge: To renew and freshen, soak overnight in salt or baking soda water...

Sinks: Club soda will shine up a sink fast... spots can be removed with white vinegar.

Tin Pie pans: Remove rust by dipping a raw potato in cleaning powder and scouring.

     

   TIPS FOR THE CAR:

Removing Bumper Stickers: Use nail polish Remover or lighter fluid. Gently scrape away with a razor blade or knife...

Scratches: take a matching crayon and work into the scratch well..

Removing Rust Spots: Scrub rust on your bumpers with a piece of foil that has been crumpled or use fine steel wool. Kerosene helps too..

Tar Remover: Soak tar spots with raw linseed oil. allow to stand until soft. Then, wipe with soft cloth that has been dampened with oil.

Battery Corrosion Proofer: Scrub battery terminals and holder with strong solution of baking soda water then smear with petroleum jelly..

Opening A Frozen Lock: Heat the key with a cigarette lighter or match. Never force the key turn gently.

Would you believe a blow dryer will start your car?: Before calling for help on a cold morning, try taking your blow dryer and blowing hot air on the carburetor... It really does work!

Make your own washer solvent that won't freeze: combine a quart of rubbing alcohol, one cup of water, 2 tablespoons of liquid detergent.. guaranteed not to freeze 35 degrees below zero..

       BEAUTY TIPS:

1.Blemish: The fastest way to dry it up dab it with lemon juice a few times a day.

A "Berry" good treatment for teeth: Dip your toothbrush in mashed strawberries and brush vigorously to remove yellowing and stains.

Longer Lasting Perfume: oily skin holds perfume scent longer than dry skin. So before putting on your perfume rub a very thin layer of Vaseline on your skin. Your perfume  will last hours longer...

Tired Eyes: Try putting fresh cold cucumber slices on your eyelids and say goodbye to redness and puffiness..

Sunburn Relievers: To cool down affected area rub with apple cider vinegar. pat with a wet teabag.. Or apply a paste of baking soda and water.. Aloe works wonders as well...

Never Throw Away Nail Polish Again:  Your nail polish will stay smooth and be easy to apply if you store it in the refrigerator.. Frosted  nail polish will not separate.

                    HINTS FOR CLEANING THE MISCELLANEOUS

Eyeglasses: to clean eyeglasses without streaks use a drop of vinegar in each lense.

Guitar: rub toothpaste on your guitar: let it dry, then buff for a super shine..

Jewelry: clean with a soft cloth dipped in toothpaste..

Piano Keys: Apply toothpaste to a well dampened cloth... Rub keys well. Wipe dry and buff dry with a soft cloth...

Telephone: Clean your telephone with rubbing alcohol it will keep it looking new.

CARPET STAINS:

Glue: Glue can be loosened by saturating the spot with a cloth soaked in vinegar..

Red wine spill: The next time you spill red wine clean it with White wine It really works. Opposites attract..

Who Tracked The Mud In?: Sprinkle salt on damp mud spots. Let it set about 15 minutes then Vacuum it away...

Instant Carpet Spot Remover: Try shaving cream on the spot then wash up wth water or club soda...

                                 FOR THE HANDY PERSON:

Sticky Dresser Drawers: They will slide again easily if you rub candle wax or soap on the runner of the side that seems to be sticking.

Cutting Plywood: Prevent plywood from splitting by putting a strip of masking tape at the point where you plan to start sawing...

Prevent A Screwdriver From Sticking: Rub chalk on the blade.

Stop Squeaks: Use nonstick vegetable spray to lubricate squeaky hinges, sticky locks, bicycle chains,roller skate wheels etc...

Prevent White Paint From Yellowing: Stir one drop of black paint into any good white paint.

Before Puttying Windows: Mix Putty with paint that matches the woodwork..

Window Shade Repairs: Repair with colorless nail polish. This works wonders on a small tear.

Cleaning Aluminum Window Frames: Try a cream silver polish...

Preventing Rust On Tools: Place a piece of charcoal or chalk or mothballs in your toolbox to attract any moisture...
