Attention Metal Horse Collectors!
If you are an avid (or even just a casual) metal horse collector, you will want to review the various horse figure collector's guides that are available on eBay. I have purchased several, but the ones with the largest number of excellent photos and information are the three currently available from Carolyn Martin.
Ms. Martin has been researching and collecting metal horses for many years, and she has a veritable treasure trove of great photos from several privately owned metal horse collections!
Her first book came out several years ago under the title "Metal Horse Collections".
Her second book became available in 2004, titled "Metal Horse Figurines".
Her third book has just been published, and is now available on eBay! This newest offering gives wonderfully detailed information and photos on the works of the world-renowned horse artist, sculptor, and authority on the Arabian Horse,
Gladys Brown Edwards!
In her books, Ms. Martin has given a great deal of excellent information about the various metal companies that produced significant numbers of these metal horse collectibles from the end of the 19th century up through the middle of the 20th century. Her discussion of the greatest horse sculptors of that time period gives readers a rare insight into the timeless beauty of these horse art creations.
She was the very first author I am aware of to write a collector book strictly on these beautiful metal horses!
She managed to put together three very well-received and informative books on a very little known subject, and they sell at a very reasonable cost.
