WOW!  This is going to be a real fun time for High School Seniors getting ready for College!  I have a daughter that is in her senior year of college and we needed so much helpin deciding what to take to college to make it homey!  You really do not know what to get or where to start!

First off, I hope you have a great roommate, it's not easy living with someone day in and day out for a whole year in the same small room!  So pick your dorm mate carefully!

Second:  Keep in touch with mom and dad!  They know, they have been there done that!

Third:  Balance things out!  Yes, I know you are going to want to do things that maybe you have not done before.  Remember:  Things do come back to haunt you when you get older!  So balance out your studies and social life, be careful and stay safe!

Now... what do I need for my dorm room?  Most dorms provide, beds, dressers, desks, chairs and closets for clothes.  When my daughter was a Freshman in the dorms we purchased (you can also rent) a loft for the bed.  Which raised the beds up high, so we put under one bed a sofa and the other bed the TV and a small refrigerator and microwave.    We added an area rug in between the two beds, matching bed spreads and curtains, a few pictures on the wall, a floor lamp and a fan.  Dish set for 4 (just in case you have company).  OhLa, Now you have a mini den set up and room to entertain!

And the best part is you don't have to spend a fortune!  You can shop on Ebay!  There are so many Ebay Stores that have great items for Dorms and Apartments!
