There has been many sellers claiming "Authentic Hello Kitty Coach Key FOB/chain". ALL of it is fake. After nearly falling for the cute little suckers, I called COACH in the USA to ask if COACH recently contracted with Sanrio to make the Hello Kitty key chains. Not to my surprise, COACH DOES NOT!!! So, fellow Coach fans and buyers, be aware of the fakes. ALL HELLO KITTY COACH ITEMS ARE FAKE. As cute as they may be, don't be fooled.
My advise is, if you like the item but you are unsure if it is AUTHENTIC Coach, check out the Coach website first (www.coach.com). If the item is not out of season and 100% Coach, it will be on the official Coach site for sure - guaranteed! If you are unable to find it on the official site, you can always call the Coach customer service to inquire about the item. In order to take this route, you must give them the item's serial number. Oh, here's another thing about fake COACH items, the sellers will hesitate to post the serial number on the listing. Also, the leather serial patch will look extremely blurry in pictures.
If you've already purchased something and you are unsure about it's authenticity, you can always go to a Coach store to get it authenticated (just tell the store Rep. that you are not Coach aware and got the item as a gift and thought it was too good to be true and you just wanted to know if it is). Also, don't leave a feedback for a seller until you've received the item and you are truly satisfied. Remember, as a buyer, the power of feedback is on your side.
So, be cautious when purchasing and be smart about it! Some deals are truly too good to be true. Sometimes, you are lucky and it is AUTHENTIC. GOOD LUCK! :-)
