Heather Cox - 2006 American Idol Finalist Heather Cox

American Idol announced their 2006 finalists - 12 men and 12 women... and Heather Cox is certainly a top competitor. This southern belle from North Carolina has the charm, the smile, the blonde good looks and a powerful voice. While I don't think that Heather Cox is the top performer of the final 12 - or even the top 24 - I do think that America will side with her and get her through to the later rounds. On the flip side though - Heather Cox is far from an intellectual. Her Q&A sessions on American Idol and on Fox's website leave you wondering if she can string together a thoughtful answer more other than 'Yes' or 'No'.

February 28th Update for Heather Cox

Tomorrow night... mark my word: Heather Cox will be voted off! Her ridiculous song choice of Mariah Carey's "Hero" left everyone baffled and left her looking very,very mediocre. Of the entire night, Heather Cox gave the worst performance and couldn't respond to any of the criticism that the judges gave (which was particularly harsh!). I think that Heather is better than what she gave last night - but this should prove to be a lesson that song choice is critical!
