What are the elements of healthy Self Esteem?
In general self-seteem includes these basic ideas: First, individuals with healthey self-esteem have a positive attitude. With this positive attitude you feel good about yourselr, you trust your abilities, have a sense of control in life and have a high regard for yourself and others. Second, you have confidence in your abilities to handle the challenges and events in life without fearfulness or negaivitiy.
One of the key elements of self-esteem is acceptance. weh you feel strong and confident you are accepting. This means having the flexibility to allow things to be.
The way you deal with life and others, and the choices you make every day can built self-esteem. The way you value things and the openness you have are building blocks.
You are emopwered to achieve, and motivated to respond appropriately to life's challenges.
Below are a few building blocks i've identified to building self-esteem.
1. Accept responsibility for yourself and your needs.
2. Have an interest and investment in your personal development and growth.
3. Know your limitations and assets.
4. Care for your self. (ie. exercise, watch your mental attitude, listent to your personal needs, and advance your spiritual interests.
5. Manage your emotions effectively.
6. Pay attention to how you act.
7. Reduce your critical and negative statements.
8. Accept yourself. All the good, mistakes and failures.
9. Embrace courage in your life.
10. Be honest with yourself.
11. Trust yourself, your feelings and your perceptions.
AND ABOVE ALL
12. HAVE ABUNDANT GRATITUDE.
