There are several individuals selling The GIMP Photo Editor on eBay, who have obviously NOT installed or used it. Probably only using the info off the installation disk to hawk their ware. Once you install it, the GIMP takes over your computer, automatically overwriting all of your .jpeg, .gif etc. files into GIMP format files. They are then no longer addressable under the old format, or by your exixting Adobe program, returning a "File Not Foud" error message. All new photos downloaded whether from a camera or from the 'Net, automatically become GIMP files. To get much practical usage from it you must be PROFICIENT at computer programming, since many of the plug-ins used by GIMP require programming commands to implement then. It imbedds itself in hidden files on your hard drive, and the only way to remove it from you suystem is to REFORMAT the drive. Use it at you own risk!!!!!!!!!!
