If you just won an Ebay auction and are looking to ship it for the lowest price, be very careful with a shipping auction website called USHIP.COM

USHIP is sort of like Ebay where you list something that needs to be shipped and shipping companies bid on shipping your item.

I used USHIP  thinking that the shipping companies where legitamate and guaranteed. I was dead wrong!

Almost anyone can join USHIP and claim that they are a shipping company. USHIP is a neutral party so if anything happens between you and the shipping company, you deal with them.

I used USHIP.COM to ship a scooter. I placed my shipping ad and got a bidder(shipping company called CJTRUCKING). I didn't read the fine print that USHIP didn't guarantee their shipping company members were legit or "what if something happens to my shipment".

I paid the so called shipping company(CJTRUCKING) and they came and picked up my scooter. It was supposed to be delivered in 7-10 days.

It has been 14 days and I haven't heard anything from (CJTRUCKING) I tried calling them and their phone was disconnected.

What is even worse is that, I tried contacting USHIP.COM with 2 emails and a phone call and nobody has replied back.

I went to their website to see what I could do about getting my shipment. The USHIP website doesn't have much support information for its users. Not even a phone number. I had to contact the BBB(Better Business Bureau) to get it. I finally found out all the legal stuff for USHIP and to make a long story short, you the shipper, is taking a risk with whoever you use to ship your product. If the shipping company accepts your shipping contract and takes the money and skips town, too bad, you're on your own. USHIP is again NEUTRAL between you and the shipping company.

You might as well place an ad on CRAIGSLIST and just ask any Joe Schmoe to deliver something for a certain price. There is no guarantee or recourse if something happens to your item that is being shipped.

I think USHIP needs to be more like ebay and have more support for it's members and validating that its members are genuine and trustworthy.
