This set of bookends have to be the most sort after collectible in the Harry Potter world.
They are well made with incredible details. Set at the famous 9 3/4 platform at Kings Cross station the bookends cause Harry to be suspended through the platorm.
Originally made by Warner Brothers and now out of production they do fetch extra ordinary prices during the holiday season with many savvy overseas buyers prepared to pay a premium for these goodies.
Most do included the box and styrofoam inserts which really helps if mailing abroad and keeps the collectable price high. A few are sold without the box and inserts and the problems arise if the seller does not wrap and pack these resin bookends properly. Insurance is a must on any Harry Potter bookends as so many are being destroyed due to poor packing. If you do not have confidence in your packing get a professional mailing company to do it for you.
I have noticed that these bookends generally start at about $75.00 and have sold for $300.00.
A great investment, a joy to display and a true collectible that will raise in value over these Potty years.
Good luck on all your Potter collectable and keep the magic alive.
Kind regards,
Mugsley
