Once in a blue moon, you come across something really great in life. It's so great it needs to be shared with others.

Well, there is a man named Chris Vaughn and he makes hard to find model parts out of plastic in his garage. They are perfect replicas of the originals. He lives in Huntington Beach,California. I surfed there when I was 14 many years ago. It was a nice town back then. I used to "hang out" around the Huntinton Beach pier. I was known as a "pier rat"!

 For me it's the Cox proprod and shrike cars and also the Texaco Tanker model ships. I collect these. When I get them they are all messed up and need repair work. Chris Vaughn makes the canopies,steering wheels and engine mounts for the Proprod and the Shrike by Cox. This company is out of business,has been for years. He also makes the Texaco Tanker North Dakota parts like the masts,prop,rudder and gangway peices.
