After months of buying and learning about ebay and how things work, I decided to start selling. So being in Ham Radio and having electronic and radio related stuff around the Ham Shack I decided to start listing some on ebay for sale.
My experience I would like to share in order to help others. Be very careful how you list an item for sale. Determine if it is worth the addtional fees for extra pics and the fancy stuff on the listings that make some listings worth more to buyers. If you are selling something that can be bought locally at a store research the local price. A buyer is not likely to spend shipping when he can go to the local store and buy it.
At this point I would recommend a buy it now feature on smaller items, but be ready not to sell it unless your price is pretty low compared to local store prices. You many end up just paying the ebay fee and actually loosing on your listing rather than gaining anything.
Common sense goes a long way, but isnt everything. Look at other successful long time sellers and how the do thier listings differently for different types of items.
Good Selling,
