No matter if your hair is long or short- you can wear hair accessories (Hair Jewelry), just follow these tips for some new ways to wear them...

Hair Barrettes can be worn in pairs or one single piece. There is no end to styling with barrettes. A favorite way to showcase one large beautiful piece, is to pull hair from both sides up and to the back and secure high up with your pretty barrette.

Long hair clips can be worn in many ways but one of the most fun and newest idea for them is to wear them in a french twist. Simply gather your hair low in the back and twist it up to the right (if you are right handed or vice versa for those who are lefties) and keep twisting to the top- tuck the ends back into the coil so that it lays flat to one side. Slide the long clip either up or down near the edge where the hair has been twisted (right or left) and clip in place. I find the long clips that are curved are especially good for clipping upside down.

Hair combs also have many styles. I high recommend using bobbi pins to secure your hair first. Simply take two (in a matching shade to your hair) and pull your hair back and put them in one at a time and form a cross shape. Now you can slide the comb under the x and not worry about it falling out or damaging your comb- especially acryllic ones.

Small combs- ones that are ususally only and inch wide or less are actually put in facing the opposite way- then you simply twist them near your scalp and turn them the other direction catching your hair. They will stay in place.

Hair swirls work best in updo's or backcombed hair- simply twist them into your do.

Hair snaps are also just snapped into place- they work like the snaps on your clothing and NO they do not really damage your hair unless you pull them out without opening them.

Hair claws have endless uses from pulling back the sides to securing a french updo to any crazy style you can think of!

Tiny or small hair claw clips can be worn anywhere. A new fun style is to take a tiny amount of hair and make two tiny strands and cross them starting at the top of your hair- then put in a clip- then cross them again about an inch lower - put in another claw clip- and reapeat as many as you want. It gives a beautiful camelot feel to your hair is lovely expecially in really long hair.

Hair pins are used in updo and french twists as are hair chop sticks- you are only limited by your imagination.

Bobbi pins are not just utilitarian any more! Wear them in pairs or sets- they help to secure your hair off your face and let you get down to work in style. They are also a fast and fun way to create a new style with some glitz and bling. Simply pull back a few strands there or there and bobbi pin away in style.

Ponytail holders are the newest bling rage. They take center stage when worn high atop your head in a retro 60's look that J Lo has brought back recently. The hair style requires a teasing of the crown area- combed smooth on top and the pony pulled up high a the top of the head. Use the prettiest pony tail holder you have for instant updo glamour!

Hope this helps- most of all - have fun and experiment with your crowning glory!
