I decided to make this guide to help others begin their venture into learning how to make professional quality hair bows! I have a professional hair bow business and hope you find this guide helpful!

I learned how to make hair bows by myself, trial and error.... no instructions! It was very difficult and a long process. You are lucky! These days there are so many hair bow instruction books available.

When choosing a hair bow instruction book there are many factors to consider. A great place to find a hair bow instruction book is ebay! If you search hair bow instructions, MANY results will show up. The biggest thing I have to stress is, just because someone can make a hair bows does not mean they are qualified to make an instruction book to show how to make professional hair bows.  Do your RESEARCH before buying an instruction book off of ebay or anywhere. You don't want to waste your hard earned money!

When purchasing a hair bow instruction book first look at the sellers other auctions for sale and ME page. Learn about them. Do they even MAKE HAIR BOWS? How successful are they? Look at their feedback. If you see hair bows in their ebay store that are selling or see a link to their website on their me page and they have a nice website set up with feedback on their website too, chances are they are qualified to "teach" you how to make a bow.

After you research the seller, ME page, website (if applicable), and feedback go on to see what exact details are included in the instructions. If you have a newborn baby girl you may be looking for instructions that tell you how to make baby headbands and clippies only, BUT you might want to consider buying a full package that includes everything from baby girl to big girl. That baby will grow up into a little girl that wants to wear those big boutique hair bows. So why not learn how to make them now!

Does the seller give you a supply reference list or even better a ready to go supplies shopping list? This will be very helpful to a beginner hair bow maker!

Does the seller go beyond helping you learn to make bows? Like helping with ideas on storing your ribbon, and maybe even tips on how to start a hair bow business? Just look, these are out there!

Another big thing to look for are UPDATES! Does the seller offer free lifetime updates? You want this for sure!

You might as well buy the big package once. You will save money in the future.

Also be sure to check out if the auction is set up nicely, are the pictures in the auction nice, clear and great quality? if so chances are the pictures in the instructions will be good too. And vice versa for bad photos. you NEED great quality photos to learn from.

Video Instructions! Many instructions will even have some video clips included. this is really helpful to those of you who are "visual" people.

Does the seller offer personal support AFTER the purchase? it is extremely helpful to be able to ask the seller questions if needed after the purchase. Some sellers even offer Chat groups just for hair bow making where you can chat with other new and advanced hair bow makers.

Bottom line, research! There are many not so great books out there I have been told so many times! With a little research you will find the perfect hair bow instruction book and soon you too, will be making gorgeous boutique hair bows for your little sweetie!
