Be very carefull before buying a kit identified as

Jornada 710,720 - upgrade your Jornada (HP FCSR4)

from GUMBOYA in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

I had a Jornada 720 which was working fine, only problem the limited memory so I bought the ugrade kit which is suposed to give me double memory

The kit available is code BEY which mean in HP language only compatiblle with unit from

Netherland, Ireland  ABB, Spain ABE, Denmark ABY

not the US model wich code is ABA as my unit , that mean to use the upgrade I need to buy a new keyboard, ABB, ABE or ABY, by chance the same seller has ABB keyboard

I received the board and keybord after more than 6 weeks and the problems begin, I installed the memory board and keyboard but the Joarnada never boot, Power ON/OFF no longer works, as RESET

So i tried to reinstal original memory board and keyboard but the jornada dont return to life, it still has the same problem

What append , the memory board I received was defective and there is no way to verify it before installing it and the defective board killed my main board

Conclusion DONT BUY upgrade from non HP source , second hand parts are dangerous and can kill your Jornada, accept only parts in sealed HP antistatic bag which are unopened

I waisted more $100.00 and killled my working Jornada so be VERY VERY CAREFULL
