The 1200 series printers from HP offer great printing, quality, and speed.

I purchased one in December 2004 and have been very satisfied. Several times a year I print 200~400 brochures (400~800 pages). I have been amazed at the quality by setting it to print at normal. The fast normal setting is great for everyday printing.

The biggest plus with this printer is that the each color comes in its own cartridge. The cartridges retail for aproximately $33.00 each. The printheads retail for $33.00 each. I am still using the printheads that came with the printer. I have only purchased 4 complete sets of cartridges.

This series of printers offer nice features such as network ready and wireless connectivity. There is also a second paper tray that hold 250 sheets. Take advantage of the printer montioring software that is included. It shows how many pages have been printed, the types of paper, sizes of paper, how much ink is left, how much ink has been used, and a projection for the number of cartridges that will need to be purchased for 12 months worth of printing.
