Do You Receive Damaged Jewelry from Negligent Sellers on ebay?
Dear Buyers - Have you received broken or shattered or destroyed jewelry from ebay sellers? Is your answer yes? It probably is! This is very common since so many sellers on ebay do not know how to pack properly and they are not interested in learning how to pack well. Often, they will not take responsibility for their negligent packaging. So you are left with a broken item/items and a loss of money.
Dear Seller - Please think carefully about packing jewelry you are sending to make sure the item or items you are sending will arrive intact.
Sending jewelry in a plain envelope is not safe
You must use a padded or a bubble wrap lined envelope or a box
The item must also be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap or foam wrap
Know Your Seller:
Carefully read the seller's feedback. If there are multiple feedbacks saying that an item (or items) arrived in a damaged state - BEWARE! Don't ignore these warnings! The same thing may happen to you. Move on to a seller who has not received multiple feedbacks mentioning poor packing and/or feedback mentioning receiving damaged goods.
PLEASE READ:
It is almost always the seller's fault when an item (or items) arrives broken. This is because the seller did not pack adequately. Unfortunately, most sellers on ebay do not pack thoughtfully nor carefully.
It is extremely rare that a mail carrier will damage anything, and insurance will cover any damage caused by the mail carrier.
Insurance will NOT cover damage caused by a seller's poor packing.
Avoid disappointment - Buy only from sellers who know how to pack.
Remember: A knowledgeable buyer is a smart buyer.
