I'm amazed at the amount ebooks on eBay that say "resell rights" at the top of their listings.
That means if you buy an ebook from somebody, you can turn around and sell it yourself - for easy profts doncha know.
The truth is this trick doesn't work. It creates a glut in the eBay market.
The result is more people selling the same ebooks than there are people that actually buy them. Remember the Law of Supply and Demand? That which is in the greatest supply is in the least demand. It drives the ebook price down, down, down.
Most of the ebooks on eBay are listed at 1 cent!
Everybody who bought an ebook for reselling purposes tried to out-reduce the other sellers in a price war...and they all ended up arriving at the almighty penny.
If you've always wanted to write, and you feel you've got a creative streak, you might want to try writing your own ebook...WITHOUT RESELL RIGHTS.
Find an unusual topic - a topic different than all the other e-books. Avoid topics like "How to Hypnotize People", " How to Meet Women", "How to Make Millions on eBay" etc...
I am currently selling the following unique ebooks on eBay that I wrote myself: MEDIEVAL RECIPES, CIVIL WAR RECIPES, ROMAN RECIPES, as well as my own weight loss philosophy called EASIEST WEIGHT LOSS EBOOK.
Write about a hobby or special interest you have that's unique and makes you different from everybody else.
Go to the library and research facts and ideas from books about your subject. You might even want to include some photos in your ebook.
Be sure to type at the top of your eBay listing that you have COPYRIGHTED the book and that it is NOT FOR RESALE. That way you can get a decent price for it and not go marching down a price war road that always leads to a copper penny.
