Purpose: To identify and explain the process of locating and selling unused household items on eBay for lunch money.
Hello again. You may have read my guide "What makes MILLIONAIRES so different from ME?". In that guide I made reference to a simple philosophy that should carry over into everyone's life. It's basically this: if you're not using it, sell it ... if it sells, buy it and sell it again ... and again, and again.
We all have household items that we don't use anymore and in many cases the items still have value and could be useful to someone. Instead of waiting until the item has no worth and trying to haggle with a weekend shopper at your abundantly stocked garage sale, make a trip around the house and gather all the items you don't use to sell on eBay.
Some quick tips for finding unused household items I PROMISE will sell on eBay:
#1: If you have children, have your children go through their toy chest and pull items they don't want anymore.
#2: Make cleaning out the closets much more fun by grouping similar items (size, type) and selling them as a LOT on eBay. Old purses and shoes can easily be upgraded from all the extra money you'll make selling them online. Be sure to take advantage of eBay's "Buy it now" feature to try and secure a respectable sale right away.
#3: THE ATTIC!! The attic is a treasure trove of unused items and may even hold some collectibles you forgot you had.
#4: Dig around in the kitchen for unused items. My wife and I received duplicate wedding gifts and many of the kitchen items were still sealed in the box. ANYTHING from the kitchen will sell, even copies of grandma's old recipe books!
#5: Cameras, video cameras, vcr's, stereos, gadgets, games, movies, and power tools will all sell on eBay. Unused bath products, school/office supplies and even garden supplies. If you can touch it, you can sell it!!
Now if you're interested in getting serious about selling stuff on eBay, keep track of the items you sell and which ones were popular or yielded the best results. You just might find some products worth selling again.
One final word of advice: For valuable items (items worth $100 or more) try to keep the original box and all the original paperwork for the item. You will greatly increase the item's resell value by simply storing the original container in a safe place.
Please put in a rating for me if you found this info to be helpful.
