Gas companies and the oil industry would have you believe your car or truck needs the highest grade of gas to get decent mileage- and has done a great job of marketing this idea. But don't pay for what you don't need: if you have a newer car or vehicle, don't have a high-performance engine that requires it, aren't hearing pinging or knocking, and your manufacturer's specifications for your car or truck don't list it in your manual, then you don't need Premium Gasoline.
