Build your own Doll house diorama backdrops.

Materials needed
White display board 36 inch x 48 inch
Scissors      spray glue        tape measure
hobby shop wood strips 24 "        small miter box
(2 sizes 1inch wide for the ceiling molding and ½ inch
for the chair railing)
12” scrapbook pages              sheets 8 each
Velcro fasteners adhesive on back
paper cutter

Depending on how tall your doll is, Mine is a Tyler and she is
16” tall I always allow for 2 extra inches for the walls
So I cut the display board that is 36 “ tall
into 18 “while folded. This will make 2 rooms at 18" tall

Lay out your display board. Pick the scrapbook sheets that match by color or design or  to your liking. Pick out 8 usually in the scrapbook sheet books, each design will have 3 of the same color and designs, and  3 or 4 other sets that will match that design or color.
Decide which sheet will be the top part of your wall and which will be for the bottom half and which set will be for the all the same color matching wall.
Cut the 3 , you decided will be the bottom part of the wall under the chair railing.

Now lay the poster board out white side up spray glue lightly(but make sure the paper has glue all the way around it so when you hang the wood strips,  it doesn’t fall down. If it does just use same glue don’t let it spray on so thick you can see the glue thru the paper.Over the 1st 12 “ sheet line it up to the top left part of the board making sure to not cross over the folded part of the board, allow 1/6 of an inch so the display board will be able to open and close without ruining your wall paper. Then do the next sheet right beside that left top makes it the middle then the next top makes it now on the right side beside where the display board folds, remember to leave a 1/6 space for folding.
Now take the matching 12” sheets that you cut for the bottom part of the wall under the wall chair railing.
Spray glue those starting at the left bottom leaving room for the display to close without missing up your wall. Continue with the next,  two might overlap 1/8 “  then in the last wall that 12” paper will be for the last wall the same color on the top and bottom.
Cut the wood strips  for the wall chair railing , ceiling and around the bottom of the room a  with the miter box. You can either cut the corners so they fit into each other or straight.
You will need for the ceiling the 1” size cut into 18” and 2   12”
For the chair railing cut 1 18” and 2 12”.  Once they are cut put Velcro on them and match up to the wall board Velcro there too, I used 3 pieces thin cut about ¼ “ of Velcro on each strip of wood.  And In the same place that they match up on the wallboard put a piece of velcro now the trimming will be able to hang without falling, If you do not intend on taking them on and off just glue them with a glue stick to the wall board. I have all mine Velcro because I use about 12 different wallboards.
I have used in this demonstration for you a pink and brown design.
If you have any questions just email me. I am also displaying a wallboard set, that has a beach scene to make it look real just hang curtains around it. You can put the curtains up with Velcro or use a little thin dowel and the coffee cup screws to hold the dowel up with curtains on it. I have a few room scenes on my Ebay pages. I sell the Victorian doll furniture shown in my pictures.
