- The Bember lining on the widest end should have the "Salvatore Ferragamo" logo woven horizontally and vertically not once but several times.
- A label stripe on the narrow end of the tie which is usually golden yellow in color (sometimes in different color) should have the copyright sign printed or woven just before the "Salvatore Ferragamo" logo which also printed or woven. No "Made in Italy" should be printed below the logo.
- There should be two tie holders. One made from the same silk material and a black label with the "Salvatore Ferragamo" logo and "Made in Italy" woven.
- A short black label on the back of the narrow end should have a "100% SILK- SETA- SOIE- SEIDE" and the care instruction symbols woven.
- If it comes with a box, the box should be red in color and not gold.
