Bet this has happened to you! You go to print something and you get a paper jam. Your beast of a machine instructs you to turn it off, remove the jammed paper, turn it on again and proceed to print.
NOT AS EASY AS IT SOUNDS! I just had this very thing happen to me and turned the machine on and off 4 times each time being able to remove bits of the jammed paper. BUT the blanketedy-blank printer kept squealing and sounded like it was ready to give up the ghost.
I am feeling proud of myself for having easily solved this common and frustrating problem WHEN (DRUM ROLL HERE ...) UV BLACK LIGHT TO THE RESCUE!! (I have been selling them here on eBay for 6 years). I laid my 12 LED UV light on the paper tray facing into the guts of the machine and was easily able to see the bits of paper that had heretofore been invisible BECAUSE (and here's the magic hint) paper fluoresces bright purple due to chemicals and bleach in the paper fibers. The problem was easily solved then because I was able zero in on the sneaky little devils and my paper jam was resolved instantly.
Remember this tip because it will save you frustration and possibly save your printer some day.
