Slide Mounts nowadays come in different colors, sizes and now even shapes. Sometimes a plain slide mounts is not directly what we are looking for, so it is great that these can be decorated and covered quite easily to match them to scrapbook pages or themes.
I found this advice very helpful on HOW TO COVER slide mounts very quick and efficient:
Step One:
Apply glue on to one side of the slide mount and glue to the back of the paper, then trim the paper even with
the sides.
Step Two:
Use an X-acto® knife and ruler, if needed to cut an “X” in the center. It’s easiest if you do this patterned paper side down. Be careful not to cut your slide mount.
Step Three:
After you cut the “X”, pull the triangles to the back of the slide mount and glue to the sides of the slide mount. Trim the excess paper from the edges of the slide mount.
Step Four:
Turn the slide mount over and use as desired. Try framing a photo, journaling or a piece of paper art, adding a clip, brad, embossed charm or ribbon.
