When buying a safety razor here's a few things to look for:

1. Look for sellers that offer several clear pictures of the razor you plan on buying,  if the item doesn't look good, changes are it's not!

2. Assume nothing! ask question when in doubt!

3. Do not believe everything that you read!     Original this & original that. I find many sellers  that misrepresent their items, wrong razor in wrong case, wrong date of manufacture, wrong name for the razor.  Most copy from other descriptions & really know nothing about the item they are selling!

4. Look for established sellers that give a good description of the item and point out any problems or flaws with it!

When choosing a safety razor:

1. Look for a razor that will fit your needs, don't just buy anything!

2. Each razor is different, but they pretty much do the same job. There are many types of razors  that are available, some that are light, some that are mild & some that are aggressive.

3. Decide what razor is for you.  What kind of beard do you have? Also do you have sensitive skin?  These are two very important factors when choosing a razor!

4. If you are not sure what to buy, start off  with a mild shaver or an adjustable. The adjustable razor lets you set the comfort level. Try each level until you find what setting is right for you.

Just want to add a little note:  I do not re plate or re paint the numbers back on my razors as other sellers are doing.  I have received many emails asking me if my razors are original, the answer is yes, they are original.  I try to offer better quality items and I do not alter them in anyway. Also my pictures are of the item and in no way enhanced. I have sold thousands of safety razor and shaving related items and  have been a collector almost all of my life. I do have a very large collection of shaving items.  I would like to continue offering the best items that I can find and providing the best service for you, the buyer. I have a large number of safety razors that I will be offering here on ebay and if your looking for a particular razor that you may not find elsewhere, just ask, if I have it, I will list it for you. I have been selling safety razors and other shaving related items here on ebay since 1997. I started selling under my brothers account just to see what would happen.  At the time I was getting a $1.99 for Super-Speeds and about $5.00 for 195 adjustables, market has changed a lot since then. Many of  the sellers here on ebay bought their first razors from me and are into collecting and the selling of shaving items. I opened my own account in 2001 and wanted to sell shaving items. I knew that someday the old double edge and injector razors would make a comeback, and they did. It seemed like all the major safety razor companies started making the razors of a cheaper quality and going with the disposables. I find that the 1940's and 1950's razors are of the best quality. 1960's started showing a change, but were still of a good quality. 1970's and 1980's  the double edge razor was coming to and end. Atra and Trac ll were the main razors. These razors cost less to make and were the so called new way of shaving, the double edge razor was dead!

Many things have change in the world of shaving over the years and will continue to do so, but the double edge razor is alive and well and is now making a comeback!

Please remember,          Happy Shaving!
