To purchase a neon or regular wall clock that has logos such as a sport team (like Dallas Cowboys NFL etc), beer/bar logos, or TV or movie names and characters, ask the seller if they have specific license to sell such products either from the CLC (Collegiate Licensing Committee) or from their prospective owners such as Disney for Pooh Bear or Warner Bros for Scooby Doo etc.

Oftentimes, the sellers feel they can use unauthorized logos & trademarks from companies that have big names because people will buy it thinking they are getting a "Harley Davidson Neon Clock" when in reality, they are getting an unauthorized copy of the companies logo/trademark printed in China, most likely, or on some graphic artists printer. Typically, these persons know they are infringing on someone else's trademark/logo and don't care because they are making money. China does not feel the need to get authorization to reprint other companies logos/trademarks and it is a very active business. Companies like Harley Davidson would not sell their logo with a blue neon, only a red/orange neon, so sometimes there are clues to the "fakes".

Beware of any clock sellers selling many different teams and logos, because more than likely, they just aren't licensed to sell them, merely fakes. It is very difficult to get licensed to sell all the sport teams and many logos/trademarks like John Deere, Miller Light, Coca-Cola etc. Usually price is a clue. Sport team clocks for $40 or less could be counterfeit. The companies control what type clock you are able to sell, so they won't let you sell "cheap" clocks with their logos on it and you must carry 1 million dollars insurance in case you are sued for a faulty product if you are licensed to print and make the clocks.

We've seen many of the counterfeit products, so be careful. Especially if they have movie/cartoon/popular character clocks and will print your name on it. That's your first clue that is a fake.
