It is a shocking experience to get negative feedback as an ebay seller especially when it is undeserved. But there are ways to defend against receiving a negative and ways to remove it. The first defense against a negative is never leave a positive feedback until the transaction is over. When the Buyer's payment is received, the transaction is far from over. The reaction to receiving the merchandise can range from being ecstatic to the buyer turning nasty for no justified reason. Expectation of some Ebay buyers are often unrealistic about what they buy. Some are looking for the pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow by buying an Ebay item. When their expectation is frustrated, they will take it out on the seller through negative feedback often over menial details. However buyers will think twice before leaving you negative feedback if you have not posted their positive feedback for paying speedily. Wait until they post your positive feedback before posting theirs. If they leave a negative feedback without emailing you about their problem, you are justified in leaving them a negative feedback for poor communication. Then the next step is to offer them a MUTUAL FEEDBACK WITHDRAWAL AGREEMENT through Ebay. 99 times out of 100 the buyer will accept. No one wants a Negative feedback in Bold letters damaging their reputation. Buyers care about feedback. Other sellers come to know how difficult a buyer can be because of feedback. Don't be too hasty leaving postive feedback for your buyers. Wait until they react to receiving their goods, then act accordingly. My advice is to wait for the end of the transaction before leaving feedback.
Good Luck and stay POSITIVE!!
