Greetings Fellow e-Bayers.
This is an open letter to all of you who are trying to buy a keyless remote fob for your vehicle. If you are bidding here on e-bay I have some advise for you..........."DON'T BOTHER!"
You will end up paying way too much. The reason is that there are a few SMOOTH operators here on eBay that have a nice racket going. There are only a few buyers who over-bid everybody. Especially for lots of more than one fob. These are actually sellers using an alias to bid. This is legal on ebay, by the way,as long as they don't bid on their own auctions
I am not going to name these scambags here because I am sure they would complain to the eBay gods and get me NARU'ed. Just look for the guys with an eBay store selling hundreds of these key fobs and figure it out for yourself .Here is how this scam works. These guys use a sniping program to win every auction , except of course there own auctions.
That means a few things
1. They keep you from getting that remote for a decent price.
2. They have a steady supply of product to sell in their auctions .
3. You end up paying much more to buy the same fob back from them
They use a different user name for selling to keep you from figuring out you are being scammed. Then turn around and sell the same remote at a much higher price of course. I am very frustrated. This is unfair! Who do these guys think they are DeBeers or the Hunt brothers
The reason I came to eBay to find a remote is because I bought a used Cadillac that came without the standard fobs. If you have ever tried to buy one of these from the dealer than you know the definition of robbery. Well if I won't pay the dealer this high amount I am not going to pay these clowns on eBay a similar amount. They justify the high price by saying "We give you the programing instructions . Guess what people the instructions for programing these can be found on the internet for FREE. USE Google, where do you think these clowns got the instructions in the first place.
Here is my last tip........If you need a Remote Keyless Entry Fob for your car you won't find a deal on ebay.Try your very own local Junk Yard, Pick-a-Part or scrap yard. They would be glad to sell you the keys from one of their junkers for about $20. Use the ads on eBay to figure out what the FCC number is on the back.
And Finally to you guys who ruin eBay for everyone ....................Have a nice day................
