Like many people,  I love to pamper myself with Bath & Body Products. My bath can be my retreat after a long,  grueling day of shuffling kids and work. While I love to indulge myself with high end products from time to time, nothing beats the good old homemade recipes (that many of the store products are based on!).

These are easy to make products that anyone can do - with ingredients you have available in your own kitchen!

Do you LOVE those Sugar Scrubs (or Salt Scrubs) that you see all the big companies selling?

Are you a Mom looking for a special "crafts" night with her daughter?

Are you a "grease monkey" with dirty, calloused hands from turning wrenches?

Well...give this a try! I keep one by my sink at all times - and in my shower! My husband "swears" this is the best stuff to remove grease and grime from his hands!

SUGAR SCRUB

One clean jar or tub (plastic if you have it)

White grain sugar (just regular sugar)

Olive Oil (and or Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Wheatgerm Oil)

You can adjust the amounts depending on your size container, but here's the basic:

1/2 Cup Sugar

3 - 4 TBL. Olive Oil

Let the oil completely saturate the sugar. To use, rub small amount on your hands (or body), then rinse and pat dry for soft, supple skin!

You can add a small amount of skin safe fragrance oil to the scrub if you like. Olive Oil does tend to have a slight "olive" odor to it - I prefer using half Olive Oil and half Sweet Almond Oil - but use what you have. Store with a lid at room temperature.

Use caution exiting bath or tub as oils can make it slippery.

It's best to make small batches for home use, since you won't be adding any preservatives to it. I would use it up within a week or two.

You can find sellers all over eBay with some really WONDERFUL scrubs - from homemade to Name Brand. I highly recommend giving them a try - but this is an easy, affordable, and fun way to try the scrubs at home!

Above all...relax & INDULGE YOURSELF!

Don't forget to vote "YES" for my guide! Thanks!
