First, the lower temperature bulbs such as 4300K will emit the most light. ( 3200 lumens) in compare to 12000K( 1400 Lumens but the most color very purple looking).
HID are designed for people wants more visible light at night time when they are driving, as well it makes your car look more appealing.
I personally have the TSX projectors running 4300K D2S bulbs, and i can say they are the best lightning I've ever got from a car.
If you wanted more color I would go with the 6000K which is a diamond white color; at the same time it emits good amount of light on the ground.
When you install a HID kit, make sure your bulb's return wire is facing down ( 6 o clock ). After you install your new kit run them for about 10 mins, make sure your engine is on. MAKE SURE YOU REAIM YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON A FLAT SURFACE, SO YOU'RE NOT BLINDING THE INCOMING TRAFFIC.
Usually HID bulb will have colorshift after 100 hours of useage, you should notice more color after the colorshift.
