1.)If the sports apparel you are looking to buy seems too cheap it probably is for a reason. Sellers of "cheap" items usually hide items in their description such as the item is used, the item has imperfections, and or the shipping and handling fees are much higher than others to make the bid price look low. Read the deciption carefully before you bid.

2.) A hat is not a hat. You can buy a MLB baseball hat at a discount retail chain for $8-$10 and you see others for $20 on Ebay. Why ? The hats are better quality, they will last longer, and they are better in appearance. Look for the quality brand names such as Reebok and Nike. If there is no brand name then you likely are getting the "generic" version of the item.

3.) Sweatshirts are another common items that can fool the buyer. Are they the thin retail store material or the thicker better quality item ? In most cases, if teh sweatshirt has screen printing it is a lower quality item. Sweatshirts that have sewn on letters last much longer and normally are the better quality material that will last much longer as the letters will not peel.

4.) Use the buyer Feedback to help you buy your item. A person with 3000 feedback is a quality seller that likely ships quickly. What can be more frustrating than buying an item and waiting 4-6 weeks. You may pay a little more with a "Power Seller" but you will get the quality and service that is well worth the peace of mind and the waiting game.
