Usually you lose out on these auctions. Others are giving away free gifts to all bidders, which is a nice touch! Some have offered cash to watchers as well. So keep your eyes out for these. If you decide to bid on a mystery auction, you are getting what you pay for and the sellers expect positive feedback no matter what. So be careful what auctions you bid on. Make sure you are willing to keep the goods purchased due to the fact that most sellers have a no return policy.

Now, if you are interested in selling a mystery box or another item in the mystery auction section, first browse through several adds to see how it is being done. This will give you great ideas and best of all, see what the top sellers are doing. In your listing, make sure you state that they are just bidding on the box or whatever item you are trying to sell. Then add, I will be placing FREE GIFTS inside. If you do not describe your intentions, ebay may remove your listing. Give potential buyers a few hints or clues. Start your auction at a low price to draw more bidders in. Use the tactics of the powersellers. Make your auction fun and mysterious at the same time. Create a title that'll cause them to click on your auction. Ex. EVERYBODY WINS HERE! PRIZES FOR EVERY BIDDER! Then make sure you follow through. Whatever you do, don't promise the moon, unless you can deliver. Some sellers list the value of the free gifts inside. Make sure it is worth the price you state. And try to answer all the questions without spilling the beans.
