I just read an article mentioning there is no HDTV antenna design.
It is not accurate as my competitor.TERK designed an outdoor antenna in 1999 specifically for HD..It looked like a rolling pin.Totally different from conventional antenna design.
I am in the antenna manufacturing Business. As an antenna manufacturer, we had to market our antennas as HD and for HDTV reception..
In the old days, Just a few years back. TV antennas were labeled VHF/UHF and FM.This is the frequency they received. They were advertised that way since 1947.
Now that VHF UHF will be history in 2009,Antennas had to be relabeled and advertised for receiving HD signals.
There have been improvements in UHF design over the last few years.Indoor reception for HD can be tricky so there are NEW antenna designs to reduce this problem.
Products just adapt to changing times,This is nothing new.
