I love E-Bay but I hate all the fake handbags that are auctioned off and purchased by people that really think they are getting a bargain. I am NOT an expert although I do sell and buy authentic bags on E-Bay but there are some very basic things to look for:

1.If a seller has multiple auctions for the same bag ie: Goyard and the price starts at $79 - it's fake. This is a bag that sells for almost $1000 in Barneys so how likely is it that a seller will have 10 pieces of new authentic Goyard totes ??? NOT!!!! Anytime you see a seller offering multiple high end NEW items (10 Louis Vuitton Neverfulls) - the item is a FAKE.

2.Look at the feedback - so important and really read through it. If the seller has 100% feedback with over 200 bag sales (varying bags) she/he is more than likely legitamite.

3.Ask for a copy of the receipt and ask where the bag was purchased. I do save copies of receipts when I buy bags but sometimes my friends don't. If I am selling a bag for a friend I will always ask where the bag was purchased and when. I only sell bags for friends that I know buy only authentic items.

4. The best deals will always be on bags that have been gently used. I am always wary of a seller that would part with a new Louis Vuitton for $99. Used high-end bags are not cheap - I will be getting a L.V. Alma soon that is in excellent shape - I was with my friend when she purchased this bag at Macy's  for $900. I will probably start the auction at $400. KNOW YOUR PRICES. If you know what the item sells for new than you will know if you are getting a great buy.
