If your into Anime, models or both you may find these models very cool as a collection item, they come in boxes that contain several sheets of peices, you snap them off the guides, and following the directions snap the peices together, and once you have several peices together, you pop them into form by connecting the mid-section, arms, legs, head, weapons, wings and accessories, once finished you can apply stickers (included with most models) to enhance the looks. or if your REALLY into models you can airbrush graphics to your likeness.

They come in severl diffrent "stages" from 0 to 10...

0 being extreemly simple , 10 being the hardest.

the higher up in levels you go the more peices and detail the finshed model will have.

as you work your way up the ranks yo will find the harder ones have more posable features, and movable posable parts. they also get larger as a finished product too.

to make a very full looking collection i reccomend buying a few of each level. that way the simple ones dont looks lonely, and the big ones have friends... :)

while looking for these online, either on ebay or in a hobby shop, there are several things to look for as i will explain now:

they come in diffrent size to scale ratios, like 1/200 = the model is 1 200th the size.

so a 1/60 or 1/40 will be a much larger model than say a 1/144 or 1/200. keep in mind also that if youve never done any models the level is really important, if you were to pick up a level 5 or 6 as your first ever your probably going to get fed up with the tiny peices and details.

i really reccomend a level 1 as a decent start, if your paitence level cant deal with that these may not be a very good hobby.

i am always asked how long it takes to compleat a entire modle, and i reply  "it really varies on the levels of the model, and my concentraction level at the time."

i did a level 6 model 100% in about 2 hours, including stickers, and the full model plus its weapons.

ive done level 2 and 3 kits in about 45 minutes.

they are also 100% glue free, so no drying time, and that means you can work on them whenever you get freetime, set them aside if you need to do something else and return to them later.

they are made from a company called Bandai, and do origionate from the japan area, however the instructions are mostly in forign languages with the exception of the only real part you need the letter-# parts

the sheets of peices are labeled A,B,C,D and so on, then each peice of each sheet is numbered 1,2,3.....

you can find that the pictures on the front of the boxes give you an idea of what the models will look like, but if you find a set called a "weapon grade kit" or a similar name pick one up. as they are hard to find anymore, and can be used with almost any model. its more or less just weapons for the models.
