First let me say I am not going to "knock" anyone here. I wanted to write an honest, nuts and bolts evaluation of many of the various leather gun holster products available to shooters today and address an Issue that continues to amaze me at the same time - The Name Brand.

Brand name Holster manufactures were constantly putting us in back order situations preventing us from being able to obtain and sell good carry leather. After years of this and watching people actually state "there will be up to a 26 week wait to get a GUN HOLSTER we said ENOUGH is ENOUGH. We are gun People, we are law enforcement professionals and we are every day guys, looking to safely and AFFORDABLEY carry a concealed weapon legally and properly where we are allowed to do so and we want to do this in a safe and effective manner.   In order to accomplish this, you have to be able to FIND the leather - not wait six months to get it!

We have opened a manufacturing facility. We learned alot on the road to do this and I want to pass some of it on to you. 

1st - Buying a name. There are some pretty famous holster makers out there and they make some pretty darn good product. This is a fact and it is true. Is the product worth what they are charging for it? The answer is NO   - $200.00 plus dollars for a used leather holster ? I think not. $100.00 for a simple pancake design ? NOPE, I don't think so. To charge that kind of money and NOT EVEN HAVE THE PRODUCT AVAILABLE is absurd and plain WRONG. We got looking at this and realized that this is not rocket science. We are one of the nations largest retailers of CCW holsters and we have a pretty darn good idea of what people want after having sold over 20,000 holsters. We use Polyester thread, the heaviest you can use to build gun holsters, the type of thread used on boats that spend there lives in the ocean. Our thread is UV resistant and mildew proof. Most of your "big name" outfits use the cheaper nylon thread. We use 9-10 OZ leather on our heavy duty products - very heavy - very hard to work with - WHY? Because it is the best. Most of your big names use 5-6 OZ  leather and some of what we have seen is imported. Our gun blued metal clips are made in Jersey - not China - they cost half as much in China - we do not care. Every single machine we have is AMERICAN made - they cost less from importers - that is just not our style. All of this and we sell the finest quality holsters of their type being made today for Less than HALF the price of the Big names - if we dont have it we will make it and have it on its way to you in 7-10 days OR LESS - thats not a backorder - thats drying time! 

Before you spend half a weeks pay on some "Big name" Gun Holster, stop and think for a minute. Do I need to spend my hard earned money on a mans name or do I need a High quality, properly designed and made gun holster that will last me a lifetime for a reasonable amount of money?
