Well have you ever recieved a guitar so pourly packed that your amazed that it is even in one piece. Look, it is to easy to package a guitar well without having to pay a shipping servive $10.00 or more for packaging. One of my favorite resources is the local guitar store. They almost throw out every guitar box they have. They unpack the guitar and hang it for display until sold. They save a few boxes normally but toss most of them and are more than glad to give you whatever amount you want. This makes it cheap to package your sold guitar you need to ship, as you are now using factory made guitar boxes designed for safe shipping, just pick an appropriate size. One last bonus tip... Do you often need bubble wrap (which if you have ever purchased a roll you know how expensive it is) Well your local electronics store and furniture stores are the perfect place to get it for free. Most all there items are shipped to their store with some bubble wrap and they toss it all out. You'll never run out if you check with these sources. It has saved me literally hundreds of $$$$ and your also doing our enviroment a favor by recycling the use.......SO HELP OUR PLANET AND HELP YOURSELF!!
