As soon as the very first Guitar Hero came out for the PlayStation 2 in 2005, it changed the face of music games as we know it. Its guitar peripheral is now a part of modern popular culture, with the clicking of the strum bar and the multiple colors of the fret buttons instilled into the brains of millions. So it’s only natural to expect that other, third party companies, are going to take advantage and make guitars of their own. And with Rock Band out and about as well, that’s a lot of guitars to keep track of!

But not all guitars are compatible with all games!
