Wether you are a seller on ebay or a buyer these guides can be a useful tool for you.
If you are a SELLER on eBay, before you list items for sale, check out the reviews and guides to see what is written about a similar item. The guides give you a hint as to what is being sold, how many people look at the guides and what clues you can use from the review or the guide. Reviews are from customers that have used the item. If there is not a positive review then you can change your wording in the description and the
title to make it more appealing to the buyer.
If you are selling a item , say a vintage beaded handbag, you should look at the guides first and see what key words they used in the guide. If the guide has a positive rating from the buyers who read it, then incorporate the same key words into the description of your for sale item. As a seller maybe I could get some pointers about insuring a vintage bag, or packing it safely.
If I was a buyer, I would use the guide to find out what people are saying about the item. Are alot of people using the guide to that item ? If I wanted to buy a piece of china from on line, I would like to find out if there was any information out there to give me hints on how to buy china on line. I would be more apt to go to the store or listed items from the person who wrote the guide. I think that this seller thought about it's customers and took the time to write a guide about that subject. That would make me want to buy from that person.
The same would go for the reviews. If I were going to buy a certain item on eBay, I would want to check out the reviews that people have written. It might answer questions that I had about the item.
In other words the more you check out the buyer or the seller, the better chance you have of having a positive outcome. The consumer should educate themselves before you make the final decision. I think that the guides and reviews are a wonderful tool to have available.
