The tippmann markers are the best overall paintball products available.  They fit the need of any style of paintball.  Whether you want to play speedball, woods ball, scenario games, or just play around with freinds these guns can do it all.  Though there are more specialized guns for speedball and woods ball, if your the type of player I am and do it both this is the gun for you.

What makes the tippmann products so great is the customization of the guns.  These guns are totaly customizably.  If you want to shot fast, then the e-grip is for you, if you want to shot consitent then the low pressure kit is what you should purchase.  You can do just about any thing to these guns.

For those of you starting out I would buy a simple Tippmann 98 Custom Pro (this varies from the Model 98, and Custom 98 because it comes with a tank drop foreward, double trigger, and a longer barrel; but most importantly lets you put the incredibly fast shooting e-grip on it, making it fully automatic).  This gun is very cost affect for the two to ten time a year baller.  It will be able to keep with any other markers out there for those of us who play more recreational paintball.  But for those of us who are more competitive with paintball, I would buy the Tippmann A-5.  The A-5 has an automatic ball feeder that feeds up to 15 balls per second.  It is also more heavy duty so it will last you longer ( but with any tippmann product it will last you close to life).  As an added bonus all the upgrades are cheaper on the A-5 then on the 98 custom pro, though there are some upgrades for the 98 that you can't get for the A-5.  I would recommend the 98 for woods ball or scenario ball and the A-5 for speed ball, but both will work for either or and you will be very pleased with either of them.

I would highly recommened either of thes two guns for any cmpetitive paintballer or anyone who just wants to have fun.  Though you will probably need a little better gun then either of these if you are a hardcore tournament paintballer, these guns are much more cost effective and will hold there own just fine agianst most of the other guns, after all guns don't kill people, people kill people.
