Step 1: Make sure you internet provider is either DSL or Cable, basically anything broadband.  You will not need them at all when setting up your wireless network.

Step 2: Purchase a Wireless Router.  There are many different kinds, brands,speeds.  The top brands are Linksys, Netgear, Belkin, & D-Link.  The primary speeds are 802.11B at 11mbps, 802.11g at 54mbps, & Super G at 108mbps.  Brand really doesnt matter, the speed does.

Step 3: Connect your router to your cable/dsl modem.  Do this by simply taking the ethernet/internet cable from your cable/dsl modem, & connect it to the input on the back of the router.  Plug the router in & you are done, thats it.  You can install the software if you want to set a password or secure your network, but otherwise it is plug & play.

Step 4: Purchase wireless cards/adapters for your laptops & desktops.  Laptops take wireless cards (pcmcia) or internal wireless chips, desktops take PCI adapters that go inside your computer.  Wireless laptop cards simply just pop in the slot on the side of your notebook.  There is also a USB adapter that works for both desktops & laptops for those who don't want to open their desktop or want portability.

You are now "WiFi" complete, put a desktop in your bedroom & surf the net wirelessly now, it is that simple.  Of course check out my auctions for the best wifi prices on the planet!!!!!!!!!
