This guide will assist you in buying Reliv products off of eBay. I have bought many cans from many different people from all over the country and have gained valuable knowledge that will help you learn from my experience before you jump in or compare if you have already tread the waters of bidding on Reliv products. I have the unique perspective of being a Reliv distributor with vast knowledge of the company, the products and their costs at all levels, and how a secondary market like eBay has impacted the nutrition industry. You may be wondering why a distributor has any business on eBay in the first place, fair enough. I, like you, search eBay for the best deals I can find hoping to save some money. I have a LARGE family that consumes a lot of Reliv product. I NEVER sell anything I get off of eBay to any of my customers. I can't! I would lose my distributorship, I am sure, but the main reason I do not is because I could not offer them the 30-day money back guarantee through the company. And when they come into the business the year-long 90% money back guarantee. I know, what other company would do that? Reliv does!

At first when I began buying Reliv products off of eBay I was saving an average of $10 off of my cost per can. I felt that the time that I put in watching auctions, bidding, checking e-mail to see my daily auctions, see if I was outbid, going to eBay and signing in and checking messages and all that good stuff some what balanced out. At least I was rationalizing it in my mind that it was worth it. It got my wife off of my back. See honey, we are "Saving" $10 a can. Yes, she would always come back with, but look at how many hours you are sitting in front of that stupid computer! If you would just get out there and do something we would have the money to pay for the products and more...yadda...yadda...yadda. And don't tell my wife I typed that! She still doesn't know how to use a computer! But here lately the trend with Reliv products has been the cost has been going up. The value of the products has been rising. The shipping prices are unreal for one or two cans. I usually get shipping for 6 or 7 cans on eBay almost exactly the same as what most people charge for 1 or 2 cans. It is insane. $10 for 1 can? Why? Sure some will argue that you just adjust your bid against the over zealous high pricer on shipping. But it never fails that some yahoo that is not in the bidding wars usually comes in and runs up the bid anyway. Ignorance is bliss! But then more products have passed you by again. I am SOOOOOOOO tempted to release a list of all products and their actual costs from the company with actual shipping and taxes with the discounts that are available. This could potentially put a damper on bidding so high knowing that people could be buying BRAND NEW products shipped to their door-step by FED-EX whenever they want it with a 30-day guarantee. They would never have to sit at their computer again, worrying about being outbid by 50 cents by some jerk in the last 3 seconds. Oh, I know who you are you spineless, faceless, cowards! Think of the time saved, the productivity gained, the wife not nagging anymore! Hallelujah! Or how about my latest adventure. I bought two cans of a given Reliv product. The picture showed two cans that I knew were manufactured since February 13th, 2006. The page said they were new, but when I received my two cans they were not new, actually they were 13 YEARS OLD!!!! HELLO! Reliv only gives a two year shelf life! The cans were not even the same size! There are always risks associated with buying through any auction site. Recourse is slow, and sometimes very limited. At the moment I am out $60! Hopefully you can learn from my mistake, always ask ahead of time for the expiration date. Do not assume someone is not trying to pull a fast one. Twice already I have had someone use the excuse they were doing it for a friend or a friend was doing it for them. As much as you want to give people the benefit of the doubt it is still you they are taking money and time from. I have not had that happen with Reliv in the year I have been with them. They always get my products to me in two days from ordering. I have waited weeks after paying some people off of eBay. You are sitting wondering, are they ever going to send you your stuff or did you just get ripped off! Reliv is a publicly traded company with 1.2 billion in sales. They are not going to jeopardize anything by not treating their customers fairly. That is actually why they are a Direct Selling/Direct Marketing company with excellent customer care and follow-up. They set industry standards that other companies seek to emulate. I do not blame anyone for grabbing a hold of these products at any means necessary. The absolute best way to do so is to go through the company's structure of distributor relations, the hands on person to person relationship with a local distributor who can and will focus directly on your independent needs.
