Since its release on the WB in 1992, Batman the Animated Series and subsequently, The Batman series have given collectors a chance to have similar scale figures of their favorite hero's and villans. Given that this line has also produced a ton of Bat-Suits which Bruce Wayne himself would have difficulty wearing at night, it has its benefits having released a number of figues that we have yet to see anywhere else. Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Harley Quinn, Dick Grayson, Killer Croc, Tim Drake-Robin, The Mad Hatter, Clayface, Firefly, Ra's Al Ghul, The Creeper, Talia, Posion Ivy, and The Ventriloquist with Scareface are several figures that were exclusives or got their "first big break" under the "Animated Series" or "The Batman" banner.
Prior to the release of a number of DC Direct Batman Themed sets, this was the only line wherein you could get most of the top to mid level villans. The set also produced three interactive playsets: Joker's Toxic Lab, Gotham Bank, and the mass produced Wayne Manor/Batcave. Batman's signature vehicles such as the Batmobile, Batcycle, and Batplane were also represented and even the Joker (Jokermobile) and Robin (the hard-to-find Robin Dragster) weren't left out in the cold.
I has taken me almost six years to amass at least one representation of each of these figures--bridging the gap between imagination and reality. Start your collection today!
